How do I generate an API Key and Enter it Into the App?

Create an API key on Arenanet

To generate an API key, you'll need to go to Arenanet's official website at https://account.arena.net/applications and generate a new token for the application.

GW2 Assistant will use as many permissions as you give it, but it will still function with only a few permissions. For example, the tradingpost permission is required to show the "Trades" page, but the rest of the app will still function without it.

We recommend you grant all permissions.

Entering it Into the App

First, open the menu as shown below:

Next, either copy/paste your key into the settings box or use the "Scan Barcode" button to scan the QR code on the account keys page.
